Elizabeth Strunk

Elizabeth Strunk is a graduate of Massachusetts Maritime Academy. After graduation, she sailed as a deck officer with Military Sealift Command and advanced her license to Master, Unlimited Tonnage Upon Oceans, and Master of Towing Vessels, Upon Oceans. She resigned in August 2016. She briefly taught and developed USCG approved courses at Mid-Atlantic Maritime Academy.

Ms. Strunk is a cum laude graduate of the University of Baltimore School of Law, 2020, where she served as Editor in Chief of the University of Baltimore Law Review and was a student attorney with the Legal Data and Design Clinic. While in law school, she interned for the Honorable Marvin J. Garbis and the Honorable A. David Copperthite at the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland. Prior to private practice, Elizabeth served as a law clerk to the Honorable Douglas R. M. Nazarian on the Appellate Court of Maryland.

Currently, Ms. Strunk is a member of the Maritime Practice Group with Liskow & Lewis in Houston, TX, where she practices litigation nation-wide on cases involving vessel collisions and allisions, personal injury, charter party disputes, maritime contracts and emergency and incident response.

Ms. Strunk is an advisory member of the Houston Maritime Arbitrators Association’s board as well as a member of the Women’s International Shipping
and Trading Association (WISTA), the Houston Mariners’ Club, the Maritime Law Association, and the Young Lawyer Division Liaison for Autonomous Ships and Smart Marine Technology.
